Our dear Sis. Rani was gathered to the saints on the 24th of October @ 9:00 pm IST.
She leaves behind her daughter Jennifer, son in law Nihar, and 2 beautiful grandchildren who meant the world to her - Prithbiraj and Prathana.
Our sister had been battling cancerd for the last year and we know she had grown weary.
Always smiling and ready with a word of advice, the first to church, instant in prayer, we shall miss this soft and gentle soul.
We know though, that we shall see her again vert soon in the Coming of Our Lord and Christ. Until then...

Comfort Meet 1.11.2023
My message for the day was 'As an Eagle stirreth her nest' - how we as believers tend to get comfortable in our roles in the church, and in society, often times willingly allowing ourselves to stagnate as christians, not fully utilizing our potential to witness for Christ; and how the Lord, as a result of this sends us difficulties, illnesses, discomfort to help us learn to fly on our own, outside our comfort zone.
There was not much that could be done for her medically and as the family could not afford more advanced treatment, she had decided to go in for alternate medicine to help her with palliative care.
Sis. Rani was a strong and faith-filled woman till the last. She walked into her problems laughing them in the face, and casting them to the side, flailing scripture promises at them left and right.
She was always punctual at church, instant in prayer, forever smiling. And that is how we shall remember her.
As her health began deteriorating more rapidly, she began staying home from church. She couldn’t make the journey, and if she did, she could never stay long, and grew tired, and felt pain spasms come on suddenly. So she preferred to stay home and hear the preaching online.
We visited her off and on on her bed of affliction. She told me that she prayed and expected to be healed, but was not afraid of death, and that she would submit to the will of God whatever that may be.
The last time I met with her, she told me of two dreams she had had. In one, she was inside a water tank, unable to move, slowly being submerged, and was quite alarmed as the water level was rising rapidly. She thought that she would be completely submerged in the water and would drown. Then suddenly, she finds herself outside the tank and safe.
In the 2nd dream she said she was among a great multitude of people. They all looked to be of different nationalities and languages, but she could understand them, and they were all praising and worshipping God, like at a Convention of some sort. And she sees herself in the dream praising and singing along with them.
I told her then, that these were prophetic dreams not related to her healing. The 1st showed how she felt that she would be overwhelmed with her sickness, but would suddenly be set free. The 2nd showed her praising among the saints. At the time I realized the Lord had shown her that she would die a natural death and go to Him that way. So I told her to submit her body to the Lord and be still.
Over the course of the next few weeks, she steadily grew weaker, until suddenly, like in her dream, when we hadn’t expected it, she was gathered to the saints, and is now praising the Lord along with them in the heavens.
She had been bedridden for just a few months but had gone through tremendous pain. A hardworking woman, and never one to trouble others, lying on her bed, unable to move or do her own duties had really taken a toll on her.
Her family told us that for the past week, she had been drifting in and out of consciousness, most likely due to the excessive pain she had been experiencing. She is now pain free and we shall see her smile the way she used to on earth, one day, when we too, shall meet the Lord in the air.
I ask you to pray for her sisters Angeline, and Lydia, brother Job, daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Nihar Majumdar, and grandchildren Prithbiraj and Prathana who helped share their mother’s burden and took on a great amount of responsibility in caring for their grandmom.
May the Lord comfort the family and give them peace.
Sis. Sudha passed away in the last week of September.
She was the daughter of Bro. Gopal, or to all those who knew him well – Gopal Master. He was the headmaster of a local school, and always graced us with his presence at our gospel meets.
Gopal Master’s son Sam had asked me to preach at the Comfort Meet for Sis Sudha which had been arranged for the 30th of September.
I and my family arrived at their residence in Pothanoor at 11:00 am.
After a brief time of worship and prayer, I shared a short heartfelt message at the gathering,
My message was “Why should you die before your time?” – how fleeting the life of man was, and how we each needed to take stock of how we lived and obey the voice of God while we still had breath in our lungs.
I ask you to pray for Gopal Master, his sons Sam and Clement, and Sis. Sudha’s remaining family – her husband and 2 sons.

Beloved mother and grandmother,
Sis. Arokiya Mary's mother entered her Eternal Rest at the age of 92, without having relied on medicines, doctors, or hospitals.
She was overjoyed that her daughter had almost finished the reconstruction of her home.
She left this earth joyfully running into the arms of her Maker.
She leaves behind a son, 2 daughters, and 5 grandchildren.

Sis Mary Backiyam
was promoted to glory on 01.05.2021
Beloved mother and grandmother,
Sis. Latha Suneetha's mother who accepted the truth of God's Word in her golden years was always ready with a smile and a cup of tea when we visited her.
Hailing originally from Cherambady, she spent her last days in Coimbatore with her daughter.
She was obedient to the Word of God and the need for baptism, even in her old age.
She knew that her time was at end and was gathered to the saints at the age of 84.
She leaves behind a son, daughter, and 5 grandchildren.
Sis Mehboob John
was promoted to glory on 28.07.2020
Beloved mother and grandmother,
Sis. Mehboob John always had questions to ask me about the Word of God, and her face lit up each time we saw her.
She was almost always burdened with worries of her children's salvation. She had wanted the entire family to be saved.
Although she was very weak at the end of her earthly life, we believe she has now found her much longed for rest in the arms of the Lord.
She leaves behind 3 daughters, 3 sons, and 11 grandchildren.

Beloved husband and father,
Bro. Xavier was an active, vibrant live wire who kept us all on our toes. His presence was always exuberant and encouraging.
He had said that the best and most momentous of his life decisions was his decision to be baptized.
He is sorely missed by all.
But all things work out good for those who love God.
We believe he is now in the embrace of our Lord where there are no tears, sorrow, or vexation.

Bro. Gray Bharathi's Mother entered her heavenly abode in February of 2020.
She was a kind old soul who cherished the Word of God and loved our song compositions.
She shall always be fondly remembered.

Bro. Valerian Andrew Serrao was an Elder and pillar of the Church in Coimbatore.
He was gathered to the saints on the 26th of August, 2011.
We choose to remember him laughing rather than weary and ill, and so had no photos of the funeral service in record.
He was always the first at everything, and has in like fashion gone on before us, to be with the Lord.
A few months before his demise, Bro. Robert from Bangalore had called to tell us that he had seen a dream. In his dream, Bro. Vally was travelling along with his family in a train. Then suddenly he said that he was feeling really tired, and laid down on the seat to rest. When the next station arrived, he suddenly rose and left the train and Bro. Robert was looking around searching for him, when suddenly he saw him walking away outside on the platform.
I had been constantly praying for my father-in-law's healing until one day when I was at his bedside, I heard the Lord saying, 'I have called him home'.
Nothing comes as a surprise to the believer. The Lord reveals His will for them and appoints the day of their leaving earth to be with Him.
Sis. Benita too had a dream regarding her father. She was pregnant at the time and she saw her father holding the hand of a little boy and walking across green pastures. After this dream, we assumed that he would be divinely healed, and would walk across the rolling green hills of Ooty that he loved, along with our child.
(After Bro. Vally passed away, Sis. Benita was hospitalized in 2012, and we lost our baby. In the course of years, looking back, we remembered the dream, and realized that grandfather and grandson would now be traversing those green pastures in the presence of the Lord together.)
Bro. Vally leaves behind his wife and soul mate - Hilda, daughter Benita, son-in-law Shadrach, brothers William, Harold, and Reginald, sisters Helen, Nancy, and Clotilda, 7 nephews and 3 grand nephews, 6 nieces and 6 grand nieces, his in-law Mala, his niece by marriage - Shiny T., and the church in Coimbatore who he inspired and exhorted continually, even from his sick bed.
In all his afflictions He kept constant in prayer and worship, holding the Lord before him always, as a faithful servant of Christ, never wavering in faith, leaving this earthly dimension in dignity and sobriety.
We know we shall see him again someday.
"This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me."
